The problem with the sound that comes out of your phone is that it, frankly, sucks. Tinny little speakers are barely able to reproduce what your computer spent so much time compressing. Dynamic range is weak, there are nothing on the low-end to speak of. It all comes down to physics - longer wavelengths need more room to propagate, and a speaker the size of a pencil-eraser just won't cut it.
